Simply an "elegant" blade. The pattern on mine leans slightly to the darker tones with the beautiful circles and swirls. It came very clean and required no extra cleaning. The sharpened blade is very good. Some may want to just polish the edge, however I'm very satisfied with it as is. The scabbard and integrated sword belt is sturdy with a wood core. The first time you sheath the sword takes a bit of effort, but you will know that it's secure in it (and yes you can turn scabbard and sword upside down and the sword will NOT fall out). I want to thank everyone that worked on my sword at Darksword Armory. This sword is a true treasure and will be well taken care of and appreciated.
